In 1946, and following the end of the Second                                                                                                 World War, Sailor Malan and his wife returned                                                                                                   to South Africa. For a while, he worked for Anglo                                                                                 American before finally settling-down on a farm in                                                                                       the Kimberley district of South Africa.
